Expansion in custom-made solutions
In 1963, machine factory Grisnich was founded by Marius Grisnich in Emmeloord.
His factory started out on 300 m¾ (860 sq ft), manufacturing silo storages. These were soon to be followed by transport belts for the potato- and onion industries.
In 1968 Grisnich expanded its capacity by moving to a bigger plant.
The production of machines for the potato industry became its core business.
On top of this, the factory found many new clients in the fishing industry.
In 1977 Grisnich built a new plant at no. 2 Constructieweg.
From then on, the company grew into its current capacity as manufacturer of custom-designed machinery and full production lines.
In 1989 Berend Grisnich followed in his father's footsteps as executive manager.
New products like the telescopic belt conveyor and book-sorting equipment were added to the portfolio, and the grounds expanded to 12,500 m¾ (41,000 sq ft).
In 2008 Eric in den Bosch became Chief Executive Officer at Grisnich.
Shortly before, the factory had been taken over by Tolsma Beheer.
The segment for the fishing industry was discontinued, a new generation of book-sorting systems was developed, the corporate identity was refreshed and new names were given to the three core businesses: Griscrop, Grislog and Grisbook.
Grisnich faces the future with renewed vigour and firm ambition.
The company strategy is fully focused on efficiency and innovation.
